It's a nice landscape shot, but you definitely lost me as far as your presence and theme of the shoot. You're definitely not in charge, nor your boss for that matter.

we can't dominantly spot you or your specimen, not good.

you seemed to have posed my unedited version of the picture in this competition, i submitted a croped version in my e-mail as well I really hope you got it. With cropping and cutting out the landscape I'm really in the shot and dominating... I dont understand what happened? please double check your e-mail to confirm

Looking at that picture, I didn't notice you or the boss first, I had noticed the background first, even in the cropped shot.
Maybe a different angle view would have made the background less, noticeable.

Judge 1: I'm not exactly sure why you're posing like that. I guess you we're trying to simiulate yourself hitting your boss? Pose is really strange.
|
yes i was trying to make it look like i was hitting the boss, i would have explained it but i didnt think i should send an explanation since it wasnt asked.
i also had other shots the i liked, but they were similar pose wise to previous shots, so i didnt think that would be a good idea either.
anyways nice shots everyone!!!

Tis was mean >.<
As well, a lot of REAL model poses are really outlandish... heck, even some models look like aliens. The most favourite one is the obvious Gemma Ward... a lot of her stuff is outlandish. Just so you know that a lot of these unique poses are actually for the better...
As a matter of fact, I wanna show you a really quirky model shot:

One of my favourite models, Alek Wek.
Of course, we are limited ingame, LOL. But, we try out best.

Shes african, so her skin is dark. They gave her a dark dress, and the obvious exaggerated makeup. I was actually emphasizing the pose, but if you wanna another shot of Alek:

outlandish, no?
ONTOPIC: Cant wait for results >.<

^^ thats a much nicer shot imo, more like modeling.
the first one is more of an art work then modeling imo, theres a huge diffrence. i think that the first shot could have been done with any skin color, it looks like she painted black all over her. but its defenetly outstanding, i just see it more like an piece of art then modeling shot, even tho its awesome.

Agreed, but also depends on your view on fashion. Couture is definetely way more "art" than ready-to-wear collections. Both are modelling, just depends on personal preference.
Either way, not all fashion shots are "pretty" shots, and not all poses have to be ordinary. Mr. Mango's remark just made me a bit paranoid about my own shots >.<

Judge 3: This look's really strange to me, you look like you lost your neck, and that your head is stuck to your shoulders. The pose is really awkward.
|
actually, if you saw a frontal view and a side view, you would notice that the neck is entirely covered by the armor. which is probley why it looks awkward. i would also just guess that maybe a mixture of lighting with it made it look so awkward, but i didnt even notice that it looked weird when i sent it in, mainly beacuse i guess i was used to the neck being covered like that, and i know why its covered.
i just wanted to point that out. honestly it doesnt look strange to me, beacuse i know that the armor is there.

I'm thinking maybe the Judges are starting to slack on their part of how they view the images themselves, and not just from this assignment. <.<
